Legendario músico estadounidense tenía 81 años

Una triste noticia llega en estas primeras semanas del 2023: ha muerto David Crosby.

A través de Variety se hizo oficial el deceso del artista, una de las leyendas del rock estadounidense, a los 81 años, "tras una larga enfermedad". En un comunicado, Jan Dance -esposa de Crosby-, informó que "Aunque ya no está con nosotros, su humanidad y su alma bondadosa seguirán guiándonos e inspirándonos. Su legado seguirá vivo a través de su legendaria música. Paz, amor y armonía a todos los que conocieron a David y a aquellos a los que tocó".

Nacido en Los Angeles (California), Crosby ganó notoriedad por ser parte de The Byrds y la súper banda Crosby, Stills & Nash. Una vez se supo de su fallecimiento, inmediatamente varios actores del mundo musical compartieron sus condolencias. "Dijo lo que pensaba, lo que sentía y lo que le apasionaba a través de su hermosa música, y deja un legado increíble", afirmó Graham Nash.

He was without question a giant of a musician, and his harmonic sensibilities were nothing short of genius.
The glue that held us together as our vocals soared, like Icarus, towards the sun.
